Community Manager

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly creative and organized Community Manager to join the ALX team. As a Community Manager, you will support all facets of our social media division and branding division from managing our team of freelancers to managing client relationships. In this role you will support social media strategy, content development and should have a strong understanding of digital media analytics. 

 

We need our Community Manager to have strong operational, get-it-done capabilities with comfort working in a startup environment. Candidates should be passionate about digital media, social media and technology with strong written and verbal communication skills. 

 

You will strategically lead our team of graphic designers, copywriters and digital media specialists, while working directly beside our founder. You are an integral part of the ALX team and are intimately involved in all aspects of the business including strategy, operations, marketing and more.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversight and management of ALX social media programs, clients and social media channels

  • Develop social media strategy and create content for our clients

  • Lead team of copywriters, graphic designers and digital media strategists to align social media efforts with client goals

  • Manage and post content for ALX and clients on various social channels

  • Involved in seeking out new business and writing and delivering pitches

  • Compile industry research on social media campaigns and trends 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years experience in digital and social media marketing

  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Adobe Suite (Specifically InDesign and Photoshop)

  • Deep knowledge of all major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Snapchat. 

  • Positive outlook and ability to collaborate with teams

  • Knowledge of content management platforms

Graphic Designer / Content Creator

We are looking for a highly creative, innovative and driven Graphic Designer to join the ALX team. As a Graphic Designer, you will support the creative team with the production of digital content that addresses business, brand, and user requirements. Candidates should be passionate about social media and technology and must be organized and self-motivated with an eye for design. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with the social media team to create visual content for our clients

  • Work with Creative Director to develop brand identities, decks and collateral for clients

  • Design logos and websites

  • Compile industry research on social media campaigns and trends 

  • Produce research on design trends, tools, and practices

REQUIREMENTS​

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Experience working with web design and development platforms, CSS and HTML  

  • Ability to create a wide range of branded "snackable" social media content  

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Video editing skills are a plus

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other designers, writers and developers

Social Media Intern 

We are looking for a motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join the ALX team. As a Social Media Intern, you will support all facets of our social media programs, from strategy and content development to implementation. Candidates should be passionate about social media and technology and must be organized and self-motivated with strong written communication skills. 

 

In this role you will have the opportunity to experience working in an agency environment, gaining an understanding of the roles involved in creating social media programs and managing client relationships. You will learn how to strategically use social media to achieve marketing and business goals and work with analytics to evaluate social media performance. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with copywriters and graphic designers to manage content calendars

  • Draft social media copy for ALX and client social media profiles

  • Post content for ALX and clients on various social channels

  • Support social media team with community management, interacting with fans and responding to comments

  • Assist with data collection and social performance recaps

  • Compile industry research on social media campaigns and trends

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to write clearly and shift tone to meet the needs of different platforms and audiences

  • Deep knowledge of all major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Snapchat

  • Familiarity with content management platforms like Buffer and Hootsuite 

  • Strong attention to detail 

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and video editing skills are a plus
